Hello, as some of you know I am building a stadium track, (I’ve never built a track before) so I thought I’d keep you up to date with my progress.
I decided to start of building with the advanced tools and after approx 3 hours I had built a track that I could drive to the finish in 32 seconds (I was so pleased with my self) Smile
But then after taking a closer look at some of the PRS tracks on Sunday night I decided that my track was not only amateur but it was not the sort of track I enjoyed racing.

This is were I started looking at just what track pieces I had and started playing around with then to see what I could do (after approx 4hrs of Re-Sculpturing my track was now really starting to take shape and it was becoming fun)
On Monday when I was playing on a coast server getting my points back up to 90k I started noticing the details that had done into the tracks (well placed jumps, speed grids, building, signs etc) and so again I started making some changes to my track.

It started out fun and was fast becoming addictive... that was until I started having problems with things not fitting together as they should (eg: my loop deloop had a small step that my car would not get up aarrhhh!) anyway after kicking the dog and pulling most of my hair out I did manage to sort the problems out. (Not sure if the Mrs. is pleased I only got to bed at 3am after spending yet another 5hr) silent

Well so that were am at I’ve spent approx 12hrs track building time and I’m really please with what I have made so far, but there is still much to do I really need to start putting some signs in and adding some scenery.

Deanio is also building a track of his own and I was pleasantly surprised today when I took a look at his creation of witch he has spent approx 8hrs and It look’s fantastic he has had no help from me as I’ve been busy with my own.

We both have much more work to do on are tracks so I’ll keep you updated.

Since my last post I’ve just been going a little bit at a time (Mrs. has restricted me 1hr TM = 1hr House cleaning Sad ) and although I’ve only made slight changes (for the better) it’s the little bits that seem to take the most time. (approx another 5hr)

Thanks to kery for telling me were I could find the check points for part of my environment this was the most important change. (Thank you keran)

Deanio is also doing really well on this map also and he’s needed no help from me Smile

We are doth now at the same stage practically all that left is to add some scenery and most important is to add some signs.

This is where I could use some help though because I have only seen 1 sign (a large TM sign) where are all the arrows and danger signs?

If some one could point me in the right direction for these signs I’d really appreciate it!!

Thank you very much Samy the thread you posted was most helpful (and so was Google translate Smile)
My track is now complete * I have put more than 20hrs work into building my map and in my opinion both mine and Dean’s map are fantastic and dean deserves 100% of the credit for his map as he did all the track work and I only helped by advising him on his scenery and his signs but he did all the work. Smile

However there is a loop deloop in dean’s track that is pretty difficult due to the camera angle when driving, is it possible to change the driving cam just for the loop?.......and if so how?

Ok the driving cam is not a problem any more as me and dean took a look at the problem and decided to make some slight changes for the better Smile to avoid the issue!

so now both are tracks are complete and I’m daringly going to say “they look very professional” (this coming from a track building noob )

I can’t wait for all of you to see what we have created. This brings me to my next question, is there any thing I need to know or do before these tracks can be uploaded?
